
SAMPLIFY is a series of educational programs started by Sinema Academy of Motion Pictures Limited (SAMP). It brings together industry insiders, movers and shakers, filmmakers, producers, media professionals, and policymakers to discuss important issues facing the Singapore film business.
There are four key programs under SAMPLIFY:
- SAMPLIFY Screen Series: A screening and dialogue series that creates a new dynamic between filmmakers and the audience, allowing intimate access into the filmmaker’s process and perspective through candid conversation following a film screening.
- SAMPLIFY Film Forum: A monthly film forum panel with industry leaders and professionals to discuss pertinent issues facing the Singapore film industry today and how we can overcome these challenges. The series aims to educate both the public and industry practitioners alike and to foster greater collaboration amongst filmmakers. SAMPLIFY Film Forum is held every last Wednesday of the month.
- SAMPLIFY Classroom: Community education programs that for non-industry professionals and students, to enhance their media and film literacy as well as broaden their cultural horizons. SAMP’s EAT A FILM series is one of the initiatives under this program, designed to facilitate deeper understanding and discussion of Singapore culture and identity through lunchtime film screenings for corporate, government and student groups.
- SAMPLIFY Masterclass: An industry education initiative that brings international filmmaking talent to Singapore for in-depth lectures and workshops to raise the professional standards and practices of the local film industry
