The Sinema Incubator Programme (SiP) is an innovative concept conceived in collaboration with Panasonic System Asia and Apple, and supported by Creative Community Singapore with the objective of helping new and emerging filmmakers improve their filmmaking skills.
SiP propels the “Made-in-Singapore” movement swiftly by identifying potential existing scripts and projects that may just be one step away from garnering significant attention in both the local and international circuit.
Unlike any other incubation programme, the Sinema Incubator Programme’s target is for the production of documentaries, horror or comedy. Open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents, all year round.
Selected applicants will get:
- Latest high-definition camera equipment from our technology partner Panasonic
- Offline editing systems provided by Apple
- Valuable networking and possibly investment opportunities with industry experts, many of whom sit on the board of panel members
- Mentorship from established directors, producers and media practitioners
The next call-for-entry is now open for:
- Narrative FMPs – maximum of 42 minutes (horror or comedy)
- Narrative short films – maximum of 20 minutes (horror or comedy)
- Narrative feature films – at least 80 minutes (horror or comedy)
- Documentary FMPs – maximum of 42 minutes
- Documentary short films – maximum of 20 minutes
- Music videos*
*This category is open to all local bands interested to have their very own music video made. Come up with a concept, tie up with a filmmaker and send in your applications! The application form can be downloaded here.
We are also looking for:
“Really-Crazy or Really-Safe” projects nothing in between!
Anything that makes investors think: “If I have $10, would I use it to be part of this project?”
Email your queries and completed submission forms and proposals to incubator@sinema.sg. There will be a pitching session for all shortlisted projects. Projects shortlisted from the pitch round will be required to submit a full script.
